Republicans are funny with their idea of truth.

As I am proud of our country, I will say that I am very happy to see the climate as such that women can gain access to the higher echelons of politics. BUT, in watching the RNC and seeing Palin speak, I see the same close-minded, rhetoric lies that the Republican regime thrives upon. Creating a climate of fear and instability as a reason for a nomination is reminiscent of many fascist regimes of the past. I see a vice-presidential candidate who thrives on her parties ability to disregard truth and follow blindly. Say what you will about her personal life and attitude, but in no way is any of that a pre-qualifier for her nomination to the white house. Have we forgotten what politics is about? We are supposed to be determining a winner out of who can properly sort out our nation’s problems. But it seems more and more like we will be picking a candidate on the basis of who can lie about themselves better. The utter-bullshit rhetoric of the Republican party makes me sick. They remind me of everything America is not. We are not blind followers. We are individuals who want to work towards a greater goal for this country and our world. I hope November doesn’t prove that I was wrong about all of that.
